Alexandra Tracy
ChairmanAlexandra is Vice President - Strategy at First Eastern Investment Group, an independent investment group in Hong Kong. Based in Asia for nearly twenty years, Alexandra was for much of that time an investment banker, with Morgan Stanley, Citibank and ABN Amro Bank, advising on construction, acquisition and financing of major energy and infrastructure projects in developing countries in the region. Following this, she was Chief Financial Officer of AptitudeX Pte. Ltd., a start-up software company in Singapore, and then ran her own corporate finance consulting business in Singapore. She was then responsible for developing the Asian business of Campden Publishing, a media company which specialises in the private wealth management and family business sectors and provides information, in particular, to ultra high net worth investors and family offices in Europe and Asia. Alexandra subsequently ran Hoi Ping Ventures, a private entity based in Hong Kong, which provides independent research and consulting on investment and sustainability issues to multilateral institutions, corporates, universities, NGOs and policy research groups. Alexandra is currently an Advisor to the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology's Asian Family Business Research Centre. She has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and MA degrees from Yale University and Cambridge University.
David St. Maur Sheil
Joint Executive Director and Co-Founder of ASrIA David started his career in Standard Chartered Bank. Subsequently, David left the Bank to help found an environmental consultancy based in Hong Kong. For the past fifteen years he has been consistently involved in sustainable development related initiatives in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific Region and has extensive ecological and community business experience. He has been a director/partner of several successful ecologically and community oriented businesses. He has had a long-term interest in SRI. He was a founding member of the UK Social Investment Forum and a member of the New Economics Forum. He set-up and manages the ASrIA website and news services. David has a Masters of Philosophy in Comparative Literature from Hong Kong University.Erik Floyd
Joint Executive Director Erik Floyd joined ASrIA following a career in investor relations, equity research, banking and government service. Beginning at the U.S. Treasury, Erik served in Washington and then the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo. While in Washington, he established an Amnesty International group. After Tokyo, he joined JP Morgan’s capital raising desk in New York, raising funds for both the bank and its Asian clients. Shifting to equity research, Erik covered the metals and mining sector, then Asia's power and gas utilities for Schroders and Jardine Fleming, developing a strong concern about the potential for environmental damage. Erik attended ASrIA's founding conference in Hong Kong in November 2001. In 2003, he joined PCCW, Hong Kong's leading telecoms company, as Director of Investor Relations, then in 2008 joined Hong Kong-based Techtronic Industries as VP, Investor Relations. Erik has a BA from Yale and an MA from Johns Hopkins.Dave Doré
Research Manager Prior to ASrIA, he worked with Responsible Research Pte Ltd as a SRI analyst, covering water as an investment theme in Asia. He previously was with ASrIA building a water-related platform and investigating the adoption of ESG analysis by Asian government pension funds. Dave also spent over 2 years with a global development agency in Thailand partnering with public and private sector leaders on sustainable development programmes and building organizational capacity. Before arriving in Asia, he worked in Washington, DC on sustainable security issues and in the New England region as a legislative coordinator for a global human rights organization. He also contributed to the development of an innovative alternative dispute resolution as a Restorative Justice Panel and Conflict Response Team Member in the USA. Dave holds a MBA (Financial Services) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a MS in Justice, Law & Society from American University and a BS in Political Science from Presbyterian College.Hendrik Rosenthal
Sustainability ManagerHendrik has a wealth of experience in sustainability consulting and environmental policy through research, international consulting projects and various Canadian government positions. As Sustainability Manager at ASrIA in Hong Kong he is responsible for research and analysis of sustainability issues relevant to the investment community, with a special focus on the property and construction industry in East Asia. Hendrik has over ten years experience in project delivery in Sustainability Assessment, Water Management, and Sustainable Cities. He is the current chair of the Canadian Chamber Sustainable Development Committee in Hong Kong, a Member of the Institute of Green Professionals (MIGP), has a Bachelor of Social Science (University of Ottawa) and a Masters in Environmental Studies (MES) from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Yun Ling Kang
Greater China Project Manager Yunling previously worked for Babson Asia Institute and helped CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) and Tsinghua University EMBA Entrepreneurship and TechMark programs in Greater China area. Prior to Babson, she was a start-up consultant for social enterprises and worked projects in Micro-finance and SRI. Working experiences include Deloitte, MassMutual Financial Group, and various social funds in Boston and Taipei and covered IT, biotech, auto, manufacturing, and financial sectors. She has a MBA from Babson College and MA degree from Southern New Hampshire University, and is a member of Global Association of Risk Professionals.Rebecca Wright
Business Development Manager Rebecca comes from a banking background which began in London in with JPMorgan derivatives operations and Robert Flemings in equities, then returned to Australia to work with JPMorgan Chase covering various trading products. In parallel to her banking career she was heavily involved in a number of NGO organizations in London and Sydney, and was the National Awareness and Volunteer Coordinator for the Australian Orangutan project for 5 years. Working to developing programs such as the Orphan Orangutan Adoption Program and other event and fundraising activities. From Sydney she moved to Prague, Czech Republic for 3 years where she was a senior credit analyst with Exxon Mobil and began her MBA from Sheffield Hallam University (Prague). She moved to HK to work for Nomura in Equity Research where she initiated and established the Environment Committee as part of CSR initiatives and launch of internal CSR Environment program. Rebecca also worked on the Barclays Global Investors / BlackRock merger as a Project Manager for Asia Pacific. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Japanese/Commerce) from Sydney University.Ng Koon Chow (Sky)
Project Manager Sky joined ASrIA four years ago, involved in a range of research, projects and events. He obtained a BEng Degree in Computer Science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Sky also has experience in website development and network system design. He is responsible for the development of the ASrIA website as well as the design and production of all ASrIA publications.Mara Chiorean
Project Manager Responsible for coordinating ASrIA events. She has a master degree in Economics and Management of the Environment and Energy at Bocconi University in Italy, being an Economics graduate in Romania. She has previously been working in Singapore with CSR Asia on research projects pertaining CSR disclosure issues of Asian companies. She also has extensive experience in training, event management and partnership building in the NGO sector in Romania.Crystal Shum
Project OfficerCrystal coordinates the different projects carried out at ASrIA, such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in Asia. Crystal manages ASrIA's partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project and its participants around Asia. Prior to working at ASrIA, Crystal was an intern at WWF Hong Kong’s Climate Team. She was given the task to research and analyze the climate change mitigation and adaptation policies carried out by the local (Hong Kong) and foreign governments in different sectors. She has also helped to coordinate the CCCC (Combat Climate Change Coalition, mainly led by WWF Hong Kong, Greenpeace, and Oxfam)’s Symposium about climate change impacts on Hong Kong in August 2009. Crystal has extensive experience in various project and event coordination and management from her past internship and work experience in the social sector with the KELY Support Group and Summerbridge Hong Kong. Crystal holds a B.A. in International Studies and a minor in Geography from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
