The
training will be lead by trainers from the IFC who have international
and regional expertise in both financial and sustainability issues.
ASrIA will provide training input on regional case studies, issues
and trends and on the most material issues for local investors in
key sectors. The IFC's Competitive Business Advantage workshops have
been attended by the senior management of over two hundred financial
institutions across more than 45 markets. This highly interactive
workshop is now being delivered for the first time in Hong Kong.
The
Course Content
The
primarily focus of the course will be on identifying the opportunities
afforded by sustainable investment and assessing related risks. There
will be a particular focus on key areas such as energy and clean tech,
carbon finance, sustainable supply chain financing and governance.
Numerous regionally relevant case studies will be presented. There
will be modules on global and regional trends, the legal environment,
global and regional standards, assessing and managing internal and
external risks, identifying opportunities and how to implement and
operate a sustainable finance management system in your company.

a free copy the IFC's Environmental and Social Assessment Tool (ESAT),
a ready to use software with links to valuable online resources, which
your organisation can use to assess sustainability risks, or use as
a model for designing your own in-house management tools.
