EDITORIAL

Chinese New Year greetings to all our members and subscribers. ASrIA was founded to provide a resource for our members and the wider investment community on sustainable investment. Now, at a time of economic turmoil there is growing evidence that sustainability oriented investors face both great opportunity as well as challenges, and that sustainability oriented investment can play a major role in overall economic recovery. This time of crisis therefore provides a window of opportunity for moving towards more postive alignment between investment and sustainability goals.

ASrIA is currently working on a range of initiatives for the coming year. With our new management now in place, we welcome feedback and ideas on how best to support the gathering momentum for sustainable investment in the region. We are particularly pleased to note the number of new initiatives from our members as detailed below, including support for new principles, ESG oriented reports and other new services. We highlight the strong and positive member response to the corporate governance issue detailed in the first news item. We look forward to being able to highlight more positive initiatives from our members over the coming year.
