ASrIA held a Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) workshop in HK, as well as a Carbon Forum and SRI roundtable in Taipei with our local partner (see below for full details on all events). Our carbon events facilitated more proactive and effective discourse between corporates and investors, and also encouraged the sharing of best practices within industry. The roundtable highlighted issues relevant for the fund management sector in Taiwan and provided useful networking for further sharing and collaboration.

ASrIA joined with sister SIF (Sustainable Investment Forums) associations from around the world to petition global leaders at the G20 summit last month. At this time of economic insecurity, this was a major opportunity for global SIFs to highlight the importance of incorporating sustainable and responsible measures into government stimulus packages, and to expand the measures into longer-term reform of the credit and investment markets.

ASrIA representatives presented at the CUMBA CSR Conference 2009 in HK, and the Merrill Lynch All Stars forum in Singapore.

Upcoming conferences of note are:
4th REFF - China, Beijing May 12-13
TBLI Asia - Japan, Yokohama May 27-28.

HKVCA China Private Equity Summit - Hong Kong, June 1
