Angello Chan, Head of Asia ex-Japan Utilities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
Angello joined BofA Merrill Lynch in March 2009 as Head of Asia ex-Japan Utilities Research. Before joining BofA Merrill Lynch, he covered non-Japan Asian Utilities at Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Angello was the regional utilities analyst for Morgan Stanley between 1993 and 1997. He then spent seven years at Lehman Brothers Asia before joining Credit Suisse Asia in 2004. Angello received a BSc from Imperial College of London University and an MBA from the University of New South Wales. He is based in Hong Kong.

Frances Chia Yue Chang, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China and South East Asia, Robeco Asia Investment Center
Frances Chang joined Robeco in October 2007 as Chief Executive Officer for Greater China and South East Asia. She is based in Hong Kong and responsible for the establishment and management of Robeco Asia Investment Center as well as the overall business development in Greater China and South East Asia. Frances has led her team to work with Tianjin government and TEDA International to launch the first cross border China sustainable private equity fund approved by China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). Frances has also actively promoted the sustainability concept in Taiwan through participation in various seminars.

Frances has 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Prior to joining Robeco, she held various senior positions in ABN AMRO Asset Management Limited (“AAAM”) for seven years. She was the Senior Vice President and Function Head – Retail, Greater China and Singapore of AAAM where she successfully built the business strategy and development with the internal retail business units of ABN AMRO Group. As Country Head for China at AAAM, Frances developed QFII business, successfully obtained QFII quota to assist the launch of AAAM China A share Fund globally. For QDII businesses in mainland China, she had worked with local leading bank to introduce the first and several QDII offers to retail investors. In addition, Frances was the Vice Chairman of ABN AMRO TEDA Fund Management Co., Limited and Chairman of ABN AMRO Xiangcai Fund Management Co., Limited, actively participated in both of the set up and restructure of the JVs and the formulation of the strategic direction of development. .

Before joining AAAM, Frances Chang was the President of Kwang Hua Securities Investment & Trust since 1997 (It was acquired by AAAM in 1999) and ABN AMRO Securities Investment Trust Co., Ltd. in Taiwan, responsible for the overall management of the companies.She was also the Executive Vice President of Jardine Fleming Taiwan Securities Investment Trust Co., Ltd. Frances had spent eight 8 years in Jardine Fleming since 1989, assumed various functions mainly in research, marketing and business development.

Frances Chang earned a BA degree in Library and Information Science from National Taiwan University and an MLS/MBA degree in Library and Information Science/Business Administration from University of California, Los Angeles in USA.

Dr Glenn Frommer, Head of Sustainability Development, Mass Transit Railway Corporation
Dr. Glenn Frommer is the Head of Sustainability Development for the Mass Transit Railway Corporation where he has worked since 1992. He has the responsibility for implementing MTRC’s sustainability policies and all environmental assessments for new rail projects, and reporting on achievements through the MTRC’s internationally benchmarked Sustainability Reports. He is a member and fellow of several international and Hong Kong professional, associations. He is the Honorary Chair of the Sustainable Development Commission for the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and a past Chair of the Hong Kong Institute of Environmental Impact Assessment (HKIEIA). Dr. Frommer received his Doctorate from Stanford University in 1977 and was a Fulbright Fellow in Denmark 1977-78.

Hugh Grossman, Executive Director, RepuTex
Hugh Grossman is the Executive Director of RepuTex Holdings (HK) Limited. Hugh oversees development of RepuTex’s global climate and carbon risk analytical models as well as the company’s commercial development in Australasia, Europe and North America. Hugh has a legal background, specialising in commercial law and intellectual property.

Hugh leads development of RepuTex’s proprietary research models, designed to fill information gaps in the market with respect to company greenhouse gas emissions, and the direct and indirect (supply chain, electricity) costs those emissions represent. He has also led development of highly localised models to map the impact of physical risk and climatic volatility on asset performance, both in Asia and globally.

In applying these models, RepuTex has developed industry and company analytics on over 4,500 firms globally, including extensive coverage in Asia, notably mainland China, India, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore. In addition RepuTex has extensive coverage of European and North American markets.

Major client segments for RepuTex include Government, where the company works with the Australian Federal Government Department of Climate Change providing technical business activity analysis for the setting of baselines for Emissions Intensive Trade Exposed activities. The company also works with various Government bodies in mainland China and international monetary organisations. RepuTex works closely with Financial Markets institutions globally, including the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Hang Seng Indexes, Russell Indexes, as well as numerous Fund Managers and Pension Funds. Finally, RepuTex undertakes work with the Corporate Segment, specialising in the Insurance, Energy and Natural Resources and Transportation industries, led by its alliance with KPMG and various professional services firms globally.

Chris Hazen, Director (Asia), WSP Environment & Energy
With over 17 years in the environmental technology and services business, Mr. Hazen's project work spans the practices of sustainability, real estate development, mergers and acquisition, compliance assurance, regulatory analysis, including climate change, supply chain management, product strategy and market entry, performance metrics and reporting.

Mr. Christopher Hazen has been an advisor to the US Agency for International Development, US Department of Commerce, US Department of Energy, and has been engaged since 1993 on environmental technology transfer demonstration projects, technology exhibitions and conferences, market survey and market entry strategy projects. Mr. Hazen's is currently based in Hong Kong and responsible for WSP Environment & Energy's operations in East Asia, including offices in Taipei, Hong Kong
and Shanghai. WSP is a London-based, publicly-traded consulting engineering business with over 10,000 staff worldwide (see www.wspgroup.com for more information). Prior to joining WSP in 2004, Mr. Hazen was a Partner at ERM (www.erm.com) for 8 years, 3 years of which was spent establishing and growing the company's office in Shanghai, China. In the 1990s, Mr. Hazen also established and co-managed the Hong Kong environmental technology transfer office of the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Mr. Hazen lived and worked in Hong Kong and Shanghai from 1991 to 1998 and speaks conversational Mandarin, Cantonese and French.

Chris Hazen presented in 2009 to: Global Supply Chain Council/CHAiNA 2009; IPC Works 2009; BuilTech Asia 2009; Verite's Annual China CSR Symposium; CDP's 2009 Hong Kong launch event; China International Contractor's Association; and Control Risks Group Asia-Pacific risk management seminar.

Alison McEwen, Vice-Consul, British Consulate-General, Hong Kong
Alison McEwen is Vice-Consul at the British Consulate-General, Hong Kong. Alison has worked in Hong Kong for two years and splits her time between climate change and economic policy. On climate change, the Consulate aims to support the Hong Kong government and businesses in developing climate change strategies through promoting debate and sharing UK's expertise. Prior to Hong Kong, Alison worked in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London on economic developments in South Asia and Afghanistan.
