Dr. Liu is the founder and Executive Director of The Institute of Contemporary Observation (ICO). He is also a founder and Executive Director of the Migrant Workers Community College. He serves as a member of the Social Accountability International (SAI) Advisory Board, affiliated with Non-Government Organizations, Trade Unions, Socially Responsible Investing and Government. Before he found ICO, he was a journalist of the Shenzhen Legal Daily and Lecturer of Guangxi Normal University.
Dr. Liu got his Ph.D. from Nanjing University in 1997. He obtained a Masters degree from Shandong Normal University in 1990 and B.A from Guangxi Normal University in 1987.
For the past 8 years, Dr. Liu has been active in the labour rights and CSR movement, to defend labour rights and human rights in China. He is also a frequently speaker at domestic and international forums in involved fields. |
