Hidetaka KAWAKITA is a Director of Nippon Life Insurance Company.

After completing his B.A. in Economics at Kyoto University, Mr. Kawakita joined Nippon Life in 1974 where he worked in the Financial Affairs, Tokyo Markets, and Treasury & Bonds Departments.

From 1977 to1979, Mr. Kawakita was seconded to the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (Statistical Analysis Department)

In 1988, Mr. Kawakita joined the NLI Research Institute as Chief Strategist of the Financial Research Department

In 1997, Mr. Kawakita re-joined Nippon Life Insurance Company as General Manager, Treasury & Capital Markets Department. In 2001, he became General Manager, Finance & Investment Planning Department and a Director of the company.

Since 1996, Mr. Kawakita has also been a Director of Nippon Finance Association.
