Mr. Hiroshi Takahashi Director Japanese Trade Union Confederation (RENGO)

Born in November 1947 in Fukushima Prefecture. Joined All Japan Prefectural and Municipal Workers Union (JICHIRO) in 1977 and was transferred to Japan Trade Union Confederation (RENGO) in September 1997. He was promoted to Managing Director of RENGO in October 1999. Also a key member of various governmental and non-governmental associations, including Central Environmental Council of Ministry of the Environment, Health Science Council of Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan Environment Association.
