Ms. Louisa Mitchell
Executive Director
ASrIA

From 1994 to 2001 she worked in the investment banking industry in London, New York and Hong Kong as an Equity Capital Markets professional. She worked most recently for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, raising equity for Asian companies on the international capital markets. In early 2001, she decided to pursue her interest in development finance and took a position as a short-term consultant in the Hong Kong office of the International Finance Corporation (private sector arm of the World Bank). At the same time, in order to further her interest in environmental and social issues, she started to study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Studies at the Hong Kong Open University. She speaks conversational Mandarin, having graduated with a BA Hons in Chinese from Cambridge University in 1994. She joined ASrIA as ED in April 2002.
