Originally from Australia, Scott Davis has lived and worked for the past twenty years in Japan.

Upon graduating with Honours from the School of Sociology at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia, Davis went on to complete postgraduate studies at the UNSW and Rikkyo University in Tokyo under sponsorship from both the Australian and Japanese Governments.

After working as a researcher at the Japan Institute of Labour (at that time the research body of the Japanese Ministry of Labour), Davis moved to take up his current position as a Professor in the School of Management, in the Faculty of Economics and the Graduate School of Management at Reitaku University,.

Davis is a founding member and senior fellow of the Reitaku Business Ethics Research Centre (R-BEC), a member of METIs (formerly MITI) COPOLCO (ISO) Working Committee for Corporate Social Responsibility, and currently a member of the Board of Supervisors of the IntegreX Corporation (www.integrex.jp) --- the driving force behind socially responsible management and investment in Japan today.

Davis consults for a number government agencies, industrial associations and major corporations in Japan and overseas on organizational and human resource management issues.

Current research interests include the themes of governance and work within organisations, and the definition and assessment of corporate integrity.
