Ben Wrey is the non-executive Chairman of Henderson Global Investors. His responsibilities are principally directed at the overall strategic and management issues impacting upon Henderson. He was a specialist in North American investment and chaired the Investment Strategy Committee of Henderson between 1982 and 1994. He is a Director of Henderson Electric & General Investment Trust PLC and is a Deputy Chairman of the Association of Investment Trust Companies. A former Chairman of the Institutional Fund Managers' Association and its practice sub-committee; he is also a member of the Institutional Investors' Advisory Committee of the London Stock Exchange, and a Trustee of the Charities Official Investment Funds.
