Dr Stephen Frost is a Research Fellow at the City University of Hong Kong. He was previously research coordinator at the Asia Monitor Resource Centre - a labour rights NGO in Hong Kong, where he documented factory conditions, collated data on labour law and occupational health and safety standards, and tested the effectiveness of codes of conduct. He has worked with a broad range of interest groups concerned with improving labour standards in Asia, including the European Union, multinational companies, trade unions, and NGOs. His most recent research focuses on labour law in Southeast Asia, labour standards, workplace conditions and occupational health and safety in China, CSR in China, the impact of mainland Chinese investment in Southeast Asia, and the influence of Hong Kong investment on industrial relations in Southeast Asia.
