ASrIA Briefing By Eric Ching - Environmental, Health and Safety Benchmarking with Contour
Date: 8 July, 2005, Friday, 4:00 PM
Venue: Hong Kong Land Performance Improvement Centre, Room 219 Jardine House (Footbridge level, same entrance as Bailey & Jackson), Central, Hong Kong
WITH THANKS TO RABOBANK INTERNATIONAL HONG KONG FOR ORGANIZING THE LOCATION Dear Hong Kong based members and friends,
In order to demonstrate and ensure good environmental, health, safety (EHS) or sustainability performance, many companies develop and implement management systems and EHS programmes. But how well are these companies actually performing in relation to their industry peers and world class corporations?
CONTOUR is a leading EHS performance benchmarking tool which can help provide the answers. Developed by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and being widely adopted in the UK, CONTOUR enables organizations to benchmark themselves against world class EHS best practices, measure current performance levels, and both identify operational strengths and areas for improvement. Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has joined in partnership with CBI to pioneer the use of CONTOUR in Hong Kong. Mr. Eric Ching from HKPC, will introduce the benefits, key functions and process of using CONTOUR to benchmark company performance.
The briefing will be held at 4:00pm on Friday 8th July and will close at 6:00pm at the latest. Attendance will be on a first come first serve basis, with priority registration being given to ASrIA members. Please RSVP and let me know if you are able to attend. Non-ASrIA members who wish to attend will be charged HK$200. I look forward to seeing you there. Best regards, Sophie le Clue
