WITH THANKS TO RABOBANK INTERNATIONAL HONG KONG FOR ORGANIZING THE LOCATION

Dear Hong Kong based members and friends,

Marc Brody, President and founder of the U.S.-China Environmental Fund (USCEF) will discuss how political and economic reforms have created green investment and CSR opportunities in China's national parks and nature reserves. These unique opportunities leverage and enhance the triple bottom line (producing environmental, social/ethical, and financial returns) through affiliation to globally recognized symbols of China's natural and cultural heritage.

Citing examples from the 130-year history of the U.S. National Parks and his own 20-year experience working in China, Brody will delineate an innovative, entrepreneurial approach to conservation that creates signature opportunities at world-class heritage sites in China.

Having managed environmental programs in China since 1993, Mr. Brody is now seeking partnerships for an integrated conservation and development program at the Wolong Nature Reserve, internationally recognized as China's #1 home for the Giant Panda. USCEF holds a 50-year land use lease at the heart of Wolong to create an education and conservation center with an ecolodge, and related commercial facilities.

The briefing will be held at 4:00pm on Friday 28th October and will close at 6:00pm at the latest.  Attendance will be on a first come first serve basis, with priority registration being given to ASrIA members.  Please RSVP and let me know if you are able to attend.  Non-ASrIA members who wish to attend will be charged HK$200.
