CSRAsia:The Supply Chain Talks Back 2006 Capacity Building - Rhetoric or Reality?

Dates: November 20-21, 2006
Venue: Nanhai Hotel, 1, Gong Ye 1st Road, Nanhai Blvd, Shekou, Shenzhen, China

CSR is not just a slogan.

Join the conference and learn about initiatives on the ground and improve your social, environmental and business performance.

Last year, they broke new ground with a different sort of CSR conference. Held in China, “The Supply Chain Talks Back 2005” provided delegates with a view from the other end of the supply chain. Rather than listening to brands and recognised experts discuss CSR, they "talk back" approach gave voice to stakeholders rarely heard outside the supply chain.

This year they are doing it again. In November, the topic for talking back is capacity building in China. They are asking the supply chain if it’s all rhetoric or whether there’s substance behind the talk. Everyone’s discussing capacity building in supply chains, and the brands, NGOs and other stakeholders have been engaged in numerous projects aimed at making a difference. But what’s happening on the ground? And do the players in the supply chain think such efforts are really achieving anything?
