From 29 to 31 July 2008 the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) in collaboration with OWW Consulting and RUSS Consulting will be hosting the first international CSR and SRI Conference in Malaysia with the theme “Where Responsibility Meets Bottomline” in recognition of Malaysia’s fast growth and leadership in CSR.

The conference has confirmed speakers from leading SRI Funds, the United Nations PRI and Global Compact, the International Labour Organisation, leading local and international NGOs as well as major companies and leading experts in CSR and Corporate Governance in Malaysia and the Region.

Bringing Investors and Good CSR Firms Together – The conference will feature “Speed-Dating” for the Corporate and SRI worlds to give investors the opportunity to begin a dialogue in a brief, structured appointment with Malaysian Companies, both large and small, on partnerships and projects which may form long-term, sustainable SRI Programmes in the future. Our aim is to make it simple for both local companies to find out what SRI Managers want and for SRI Managers to see what CSR programmes are already in place in the Malaysian Investment Universe. We hope this will provide a first step towards building sustainable environmental and social investment opportunities for both sides.
