CDM Asia 2008

Date: July 28-31, 2008
Location: The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai, P.R. China

CDM project origination is more urgently needed than ever.
At least 1000 MtCO2e in compliance demand for carbon remains uncontracted as of 2007. And with the rise of the voluntary markets and regional initiatives, and the EU ETS moving into Phase II where credits become bankable for Phase III onwards, demand for carbon is only set to increase dramatically in the near future.

CDM Asia 2008 sets the stage for sourcing additional projects through unique opportunities to network with and hear from regulators, market participants, and other key local and global stakeholders. Participants will get to dissect opportunities in currently dominant host countries China and India, as well as explore alternative options in emerging host countries nearby.

Network and build your business case with prospective project owners. Get inside information with regulators and analysts speaking about the state of the market, trends, and outlook for future scenarios. Learn strategies for navigating a variety of local landscapes across Asia from project participants themselves.

The conference, held 3 weeks after the G8 summit in Hokkaido where climate change takes centre stage, shortly after initial international negotiations on post-2012 policy, and less than a year after the ITL went live, is a prime and timely opportunity not to be missed.

Join all the other key global players this July in Shanghai, a city rising up to reclaim its heritage as the financial centre of the Orient.
