The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization which assembled 385 investors with assets of 57 trillion. This is the sixth year since 2003 that CDP has been launched and this year has invited 2500~3000 corporates to fill out its questionnaire on data disclosure of different aspects such as risks and opportunities of climate changes and emission data of greenhouse gases (GHG). 1550  companies responded this year. This shows that CDP has become a  key driver for data disclosure.

In 2008, ASrIA, on behalf of CDP invited 33 Taiwanese companies, composed of 50% of electronic companies, 25% of financial companies and 25% of traditional industries to fill out the questionnaire. The reports were launched globally starting from September 22.

Taiwan’s electronic sector is the best new performer in the 2008 CDP Asia ex-Japan Report as they have the highest response rate and the GHG data disclosure. In general, the three key investment trends, as identified by ASrIA  in the Asia ex-Japan Report are:

• Extreme Weather Events
• Taiwan Supply Chain Speaks
• Regulatory Uncertainty Inhibits Company Policies

由國際主流法人投資機構於2003年發起的碳揭露專案(CDP)，至今已第6年，並集結了全球385家法人投資機構，管理總資產達57兆美元。CDP每年邀請全球2500～3000家大企業，加入揭露其有關氣候變遷的風險與機會，以及溫室氣體排放數據等資訊，今年受邀企業已有1550家回覆，顯見CDP已成為企業揭露相關資訊的重要驅動力。

2008年CDP邀請台灣33家企業加入揭露的行列，其中50％為電子業，25％為金控公司，25％為傳統產業。今年度的揭露結果分析報告已於9月22日正式對全球發佈，CDP並將於9月底至年底，在世界五大洲進行一系列的發表會，因為CDP除了分析全球企業碳揭露的總體趨勢外，也發表各洲獨立的分析報告。

今年度台灣電子業回覆碳揭露的狀況表現不錯，成為日本除外之亞洲報告中所突顯的重要趨勢之一。台灣不僅成為除日本之外，企業受邀回覆率最高的國家，在首度回覆與揭露溫室氣體排放量的企業家數皆為亞洲第一。整體而言，台灣電子業供應鏈的高回覆率、各國法規的不確定性與極端氣候事件對企業的衝擊與因應等，都是今年度日本除外之亞洲報告中的焦點。

因此CDP、亞洲可持續發展投資協會（ASrIA）及企業永續發展協會合作，在宏碁公司與台北市電腦公會的贊助及支持下，將於10月20下午假台北市晶華酒店4樓貴賓廳，在台舉辦一場正式首創的2008 CDP發表會，向台灣企業與公私部門說明全球與亞洲碳揭露的現況與趨勢。

CDP也從今年開始，與品牌廠合作，要求供應商揭露碳資訊，此舉影響未來的供應鏈管理與商業模式甚鉅，值得我國產業高度重視。
