Boston, MA, September 20, 2005 – KLD Indexes, a division of KLD Research & Analytics, Inc., has engaged Sunrise Advisors Co., Ltd. of Tokyo to market the KLD Global Climate 100SM Index (GC 100) in Japan.    

The KLD Global Climate 100 Index is made up of companies that are leaders in providing solutions to global warming and offsetting the long-term effects of climate change.  Index holdings are in renewable energy, clean technology and efficiency, and alternative fuels.  The KLD GC 100 defines a new strategy for investors to support the forward-looking efforts of those companies.  KLD launched the Index on July 1, 2005.  

The GC 100 holds 16 Japanese companies, as well as 54 North American companies, 26 European and UK companies, and four non-Japanese Asia/Pacific companies. 

“The danger of climate change is well recognized by the Japanese public,” according to Sho Ikeda, President and CEO of Sunrise Advisors.  “Serious concern about global warming and skyrocketing energy prices highlight the need to accelerate development of new and alternative energy sources.  I believe that the KLD GC 100 gives investors a means to respond.” 

Sunrise Advisors will assist KLD in seeking licensees for mutual funds, exchange traded funds, and separately managed accounts.
