ASrIA is now five years old and in-line with the organisation's development we have made a number of changes to the Board to improve it's ongoing governance role.  The first step is my shift from an Executive to a Non-Executive Chair role and my primary task over the coming year is to find my successor, given that I have been Chair for five years.  I would very much like to continue supporting ASrIA and hope to serve on the Board as a Director beyond 2006.
 
The second step is Robert Sherriff becoming Vice-Chair for the coming year to provide me with additional support.  Robert has been a stalwart supporter of ASrIA especially in his role as Treasurer.  To take up his new post, he has stepped down as Treasurer and Julie Craddock has agreed to take on this role.
