Chinese City of Dezhou calls to host the 4th International Solar Cities Congress in 2010

April 6, 2006

Putting a strong case at this week's second congress in Oxford, England; Mayor Zhonghua revealed the dramatic designs for the new, solar powered conference centre they plan to build in anticipation of the event.  'As China's leading Solar City, it is fitting and proper we should be able to offer such a facility' he said, going on to describe the City's current activities and plans to put it at the forefront of the solar revolution. Research released at the Congress from Worldwatch Institute's Visiting Fellow at Tsinghua University shows the strong trends in renewable energy production worldwide. Adelaide, Australia is the host for the 3rd Congress in 2008.
