The Asia Business Council's annual Asian Chief Executive Perspectives Survey, found that access to a high quality workforce is the top issue for business and energy and environmental issues are of critical importance to the region.  See in particular page 5 - which notes that CEO's, as a group, considered energy and environmental issues to rank highest in importance to Asia despite having the lowest impact on business.

The Council plans to conduct an Asian Chief Executive Perspectives survey of their membership every year as a means to put forth an Asian business leaders’ view on issues that affect both this region and the world as a whole.  All findings can be found in the Asia's Chief Executive Perspectives presentation.
