CDP China Report 2009 Launch & Low Carbon Economy and Financial Innovation Forum

SynTao and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) would like to invite you to attend this year's launch of the CDP China 100 Report. For the 2009 Report, 100 leading Chinese companies were invited to respond to an information request concerning their policies and performance on climate change and carbon emissions. The responses provide fresh insights on how Chinese companies perceive and combat climate change.

Of particular interest this year is the combination of the report launch together with a forum focusing on low carbon economy and finance innovation, co-organized by the Institute of Finance and Banking, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and WWF China. In addition to the CDP China 100 Report, the first Chinese translation of the CDP Global 500 Report will be presented at the event, summarizing key findings from the responses of the 500 largest stock-listed companies in the world.

Keynote speakers include Zhou Xiaochuan, President of People’s Bank of China (PBOC); Qi Bin, Director of Research Institute in China Securities Regulatory Commission; Li Junfeng: Vice President of Energy Research Institute, NRDC; Joanna Lee, Director of CDP Communications & Corporate Partnerships and Jeff Huang, Vice President of Chicago Climate Exchange, as well as representatives from IFC, China Merchants Bank and AEGON-Industrial Management, and others.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Low Carbon Economy Development and Financial Policy
  • Capital Market & Climate Change
  • Financial Institutions & Low Carbon Economy

The launch will be held on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009. Attendance will be on a first come first serve basis, with priority to corporate representatives from the CDP 2009 China 100 companies and CDP investor signatories.

Please RSVP to Wenbo LI if you wish to attend.
