KEY Characteristics:
Aqua Global Fund aims to seek long-term capital growth by investing at least two third of the assets in equities of companies active in the “water” sector. Investments are made following a selection process that applies precise financial criteria on a range of companies firstly sorted by InspireInvest, a research provider on the water sector. Target investment companies are those whose turnover is at least 25% of activities linked to the “water” sector. The fund plans to invest in 40 stocks selected from a potential 225 companies selected by CAAM subsidiary IDEAM, which specialises in socially responsible investment. All stocks will be screened against environmental, social and governance criteria in addition to the usual financial requirements.
