KEY Characteristics:
HSBC Climate Change Fund aims to outperform the HSBC Global Climate Change Benchmark Index through a purely quantitative score-based strategy managed by its investment advisor, SINOPIA Asset Management. The fund invests at least two thirds of its total non-cash assets in a well diversified portfolio of investments in equity and equity equivalent securities of companies developing activities related to climate change such as alternative energies, water, waste and pollution, energy efficiency, low carbon players and industry transformers. There are no capitalisation restrictions for investment. The fund may also invest in financial derivative instruments such as futures, equity swaps, options and forward currency contracts and in other currency and equity derivatives.
