KEY Characteristics:
To date, ABN AMRO Sustainable Development Fund is the first and the only equity fund in India that is committed to SRI. The fund's investment objective is to "generate long-term capital growth from an actively managed portfolio of stocks primarily of the socially responsible companies focusing on sustainable development." The fund selects target investment stocks from a universe of companies filtered by CRISIL, a leading rating, research, risk and policy advisory company in India, followed by rigorous financial/industry analysis. CRISIL screens and scores S&P CNX 500 companies on environmental and social performance and corporate governance based on public disclosures made by these companies.
