Key Characteristics:
The Renewable Energy Private Equity Fund is Korea's first large-scaled private equity fund, in which 11 major public and private financial institutions have invested W330bn. Constituent institutions include National Pension Service, Korea Teachers Pension, KB Bank, Pusan Bank, Kwangju Bank, Kyobo Life Insurance, Daehan Life Insurance, Shinhan Life Insurance, Allianz Insurance and Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance. The fund plans to invest in companies whose core business is in renewable energy sectors such as solar energy, wind and fuel cells.
