Fund Manager:
Abrar Unit Trust Managers

Fund Name:
Avenue Syariah EXTRA Fund (formerly known as Abrar Investment Fund )

Launch Date:
Jun-96

Screening (except economy):
Islamic Syariah fund

KEY Characteristics:
The management of Abrar Investment Fund was taken over by Avenue Unit Trust Management Bhd (AvUT) in May 2003 and the fund is now known as Avenue SyariahEXTRA Fund (ASEF). The fund's aim is to offer relatively good and safe long-term capital growth potential by investing in undervalued equities and other Syariah consistent investments. In seeking to preserve its capital, the fund may invest in well-researched blue chip counters on the KLSE which are below estimated intrinsic value. Although designed as a tribute to the contribution of women to society, ASNITA is open to everyone. It is tailored for investors who are keen to participate in the Malaysian capital markets in a Syariah consistent manner but do not have the time or skills to make crucial investment decisions.
