The objective of the fund is to achieve a steady capital growth over the medium to long-term period (2-5 years) through investments permissible under the Syariah Principles. The investment strategy of MDY is to enhance the value of the Fund through diversification of stocks that complies with Syariah Principles within the permitted investment parameters. The emphasis is given to companies with reasonable good earnings growth prospect in the medium to long-term horizon, quality management and good earnings track records. Although asset allocation between equity and debt securities should depend on the prevailing investment climate, the fund will maintain a minimum of 10% in cash.
