Innovest Strategic Value Advisors specializes in analyzing companies' performance on environmental, social, and strategic governance issues, with a particular focus on their impact on competitiveness, profitability, and share price performance. Innovest provided the analysis for the Carbon disclosure Project (FT500) in 2003 (CDP1), 2004 (CDP2), 2005 (CDP3) and 2006 (CDP4). It has also published numerous publications addressing climate change including "Impacts of Climate Policy on the Global Power Sector", (2003) and "Climate Change & the Financial Services Industry (2002)".

Mercer assists with every aspect of institutional investing, from strategy and structure to ongoing portfolio management, as well as a wide range of special projects.

The Carbon Trust and the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change have released a guide written by Mercer Investment Consulting entitled "A Climate for Change: A trustee's guide to understanding and addressing climate risk". This guide states that it is consistent with fiduciary responsibility for trustees to address the financial risk posed by climate change in managing risk and maximising return across plan investments.


Trucost Plc

Trucost Plc is an environmental research organisation that was established to help companies and investors understand the environmental impacts of business activities. It provides data and analysis on company emissions and natural resource usage and presents these in financial as well as quantity terms, providing the basis for an improved dialogue between companies, investors and other stakeholders. Trucost undertook analysis for the 2006 Carbon Disclosure Project for the Asia ex-Japan sample, the FTSE 350 and the electric utilities sample. Trucost has also worked with Henderson Global Investors on research reports looking at the carbon emissions of two of Henderson's funds: 'Industries of the Future Fund' and 'Global Care Income Fund'. It has also researched the carbon footprint of the UK FTSE100 as presented in 'The Carbon 100'.
