SPEAKER BIOS

Mark Bytheway is the founder and CEO of the Sustainable Investment Research Institute, an organisation developed to undertake and provide research and data on socially responsive and sustainability investment issues.

Mark Bytheway's professional experience incorporates two years accounting, and 14 years in the financial and capital markets, ostensibly in investment research, financial analysis and portfolio management. His experience includes credit research with an international credit rating agency, strategic planning with a major Australian bank and Director, Research - Asia Pacific for a European based asset management group.

Mark spent three years consulting in the disciplines of environmental risk analysis, environmental liability evaluation and resource valuation before returning to the managed funds industry in 1998.

Mark holds undergraduate qualifications in law, economics and accounting and postgraduate qualifications in environmental science. He is a member of the UNEP Australasian Advisory Committee and an honorary Trustee of the Ethical Investment Trust, an Oxfam Community Aid Abroad Initiative.
