Business Partners for Development (BPD)
www.bpdweb.org is a project-based
initiative that studies, supports and promotes strategic examples
of partnerships involving business, civil society and government
working together for the development of communities around the
world. We believe tri-sector partnerships benefit the long-term
interests of the business sector while meeting the social objectives
of civil society and the state by helping to create stable social
and financial environments.
BPD intends to demonstrate that tri-sector partnerships:
provide win-win benefits to all three parties;
can be much more widely used throughout the world;
can be scaled up to national and regional levels.
Business Partners for Development has published a new report
entitled 'Endearing Myths, Enduring Truths: Enabling Partnerships
Between Business, Civil Society
and the Public Sector. The report provides an insight into the
emerging lessons from BPD's four Clusters. It can be viewed on
line at:
http://www.bpdweb.org/krg/myth_prev.htm
Reports from each of the four BPD Clusters (Natural Resources,
Water and Sanitation, Road Safety and Youth Development) are regularly
put on the website
(www.bpdweb.org). It is a great resource
for anyone interested in the practical lessons of trisector partnerships.
You can also register at the site www.bpdweb.org/krg so that
you will receive the new report by post and other generic reports.
