"One out of every eight dollars under professional management in the United States today is part of a socially responsible portfolio." US SIF Trends Report 1999

"Trustees will have to make known to their members their policy on ethical investment" John Denham UK Pensions Minister.

Over the Last 10 years the Domini Social Index has outperformed the S&P 500.

The flow of funds from the US and Europe makes the case for more SRI funds and services in Asia very strong. There are substantial, as yet unrecognised, marketing opportunities on both the buy and the sell side driven not only by this new European and American money but also by latent Asian capital.

International : Consumer choice and government legislation have driven the SRI movement in the US and Europe. These forces are in turn forcing a reappraisal of Asian investments.

Domestic: With compelling evidence to suggest that ethical investing is not financially disadvantageous, opportunities abound for the establishment of domestic SRI funds. There have already been calls for an SRI option to be made available in Hong Kong's MPF provisions
